TEAM NEWS

Celtic captain Scott Brown is a doubtful starter against St Johnstone after struggling with an ankle injury against Sion in the Europa League.
Defender Kelvin Wilson is very doubtful after missing that game, while Glenn Loovens, Beram Kayal and Gary Hooper remain sidelined through injury.
Saints' Callum Davidson has recovered from a thigh problem and Carl Finnigan has shaken off a hamstring strain.
But Kevin Moon joins Chris Millar on the sidelines with a broken hand.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon:

I think Georgios Samaras seems to be the whipping boy at the minute. I had a talk with him this morning and tried to keep him positive.
He is a very important member of our squad and the fans will just have to show a little more patience with him.
I understand the frustrations and so can he, but it is not one person's fault for a disappointing result.
But sometimes players get singled out for whatever reason and it's his turn at the minute."

St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes:

Teams like Celtic and Rangers always have a point to prove. They have always got that pressure to go and win games.
They will be disappointed with not winning against Sion, but looking at the two teams, if I was a betting man, I would bet Celtic to get through the tie.
Celtic have got players who can punish you if you switch off for a second, so we have to make sure we have real concentration about us.
