Everyone else sees Wilfred as just a dog, but Ryan sees a crude and somewhat surly, yet irrepressibly brave and honest Australian bloke in a cheap dog suit. While leading him through a series of comedic and existential adventures, Wilfred the dog shows Ryan the man how to overcome his fears and joyfully embrace the unpredictability and insanity of the world around him. We got so lucky last week that FX treat us with a double dose of Wilfred. Two-hours of all-Wilfred fun and weirdness were really a fun way of spending the usual boring Thursday evening. And without a doubt, this Thursday, August 25, 2011 the Wilfred Season 1 Episode 11: Doubt will deliver once again an episode full of fun and laughter. For sure, it will be another laugh trip Thursday night.
If you have been watching the series, you would already know that Wilfred (US) is bit weird, sorry, a whole lot weird. But then, it is also totally hilarious — and even a bit insightful. Wilfred had that moment that makes you thinks and ask yourself a question about serious stuffs and issues on society and life as a whole. Wilfred works on many levels, something that may not become apparent until after you stop laughing. For one thing, there’s the question of why Ryan is the only one who sees Wilfred as a guy in a dog suit. Is his mind playing tricks on him? Yet no one seems to question him speaking to the “dog” because everyone’s used to people speaking to pets as if they could process thoughts beyond “sit,” “stay” and “cookie-wookie.”
