FC Porto vs Shakhtar Donetsk UEFA Champions League Preview
Belgian champions Genk embark on their first ever UEFA Champions League group stage campaign as they host Valencia.

Genk squeezed into the group stages after overcoming Maccabi Haifa on a penalty shoot-out.

They were rewarded with a place in Group E and first up is experienced La Liga giants Valencia.
Genk have made an indifferent start to the defence of their domestic crown, but they did win at the weekend and will look to make it back-to-back wins.

Valencia have made a very positive start to the new season under Unai Emery, with two wins from two and they will be travelling to Belgium in confident mood.

"Our mentality will be to win, we will do our best to get the three points. All the players will be ready," said Emery.

Team news

Genk are still without their midfield ace Kevin de Bruyne with a calf problem, although he may make the bench.

Striker Marvin Ogunjimi is in line to make his first start of the season after he saw a deadline day move to Real Mallorca fall through.

Centre-half Tordben Joneleit has been ruled out until next year with knee ligament damage.

Goalkeeper Stijn Wertelaers is also missing after he fractured his nose and eye socket earlier this month.

Emery is set to make changes for the clash and will give some of his squad players the chance to impress.

One of those will be summer signing Dani Parejo, who is yet to make his debut.

Defender Miguel should play after overcoming an allergic reaction, but Bruno Saltor is sidelined.
