Zamora and Dembele have been left in London due to sickness and Orlando Sa is a doubt.
Striker Andy Johnson returns after missing the goalless draw with West Brom due to illness and Jol has hinted that the former Birmingham man could partner Clint Dempsey in attack.
Midfielder Simon Davies (knee) remains a long-term absentee.
The Cottagers have not won in eight games, managing just five goals in that period, and drew their opening Group K fixture with FC Twente 1-1.
Jol maintains he has enough firepower to find a way past Odense despite Zamora's absence.
But he acknowledges his team need a positive result after failing to make the most of their first game at Craven Cottage.
He told the club's website: "Danish teams are always good footballing teams but we've got a good team and we've got a good record in the Europa League, home and away.
"We've had a lot of draws so far this season and as you know, when Bobby has played, he's scored goals.
"Andy Johnson is fit again now so I'm confident we've got goals and enough quality in the team. We need a result on Thursday night."
