Concerned their powers are getting out of control, Diana pushes everyone to bind the Circle, but Faye is thrilled with the increase in her powers and refuses to participate Cassie befriends Sally Matthews, a non-witch, in attempt to distance herself from the Circle and build a normal life in Chance Harbor. Diana, worried that their powers are getting out of control, encourages everyone to bind the circle. However, Faye is enjoying the increased powers and refuses to participate, and Melissa flirts with Nick despite Faye’s warnings. Adam struggles with his feeling for Cassie, but situations continue to throw them together, which forces Cassie to make a decision. With her mother dead, and her father dead right after she was born, Cassie has to move in to her grans. This is also the place her mother grew up in a small coastal town called Chance Harbour.As soon as Cassie gets into town she starts to notice weird things. First the mysterious bad boy next door (Nick Armstrong) uses magic to open the curtains to her bedroom so he can see her getting changed….. creepy!

The next day at school Cassie meets Dawn Chamberlin, the school principle. Ms Chamberlin tells Cassie that she was a friend of Cassie’s mum.
