It is Athletic’s second Basque derby in a row, having beaten Real Sociedad away two weeks ago and yet another chance build on their recent success. For Osasuna, it is a chance to assert themselves against an old rival, and start to build forward momentum in a season where they have been mostly just keeping their heads above water.Watch Athletic Bilbao vs Osasuna Live Stream Online PC TV Video Free, Athletic Bilbao vs Osasuna Live Online Instant Streaming Internet TV Free, Athletic Bilbao vs Osasuna Live Soccer TV Channels Online, Athletic Bilbao vs Osasuna live streaming broadcast Online Today, Athletic Bilbao vs Osasuna Live Stream Online Video Coverage Now, Spain Primera Division live stream online HD TV Online, Athletic Bilbao vs Osasuna Live Stream Online HDTV Coverage Here.TEAM NEWS :Match Preview While in the middle of the table, and above Athletic, Osasuna have so far this season played consistently. Unfortunately, it’s been consistently poor play. They have drawn four times, twice without a single goal and twice after having gone ahead in the first half. Their last match, a 2-2 draw with a Mallorca club in disarray having sacked their manager, Michael Laudrup, mid week has left them searching for answers, beginning with their thinning back line. They look to be without Ruben, who suffered a knee injury in training this week, and Job Echiade, who is sidelined for six to eight months. They may also be without Jukka Raitala (Finland) and Javad Nekounam (Iran), at least at full strength, each having played earlier this week in international matches for their countries. Also recovering from injury is the Brazilian Roversio. These absences look to be particularly troubling for a already disorganized defence, highlighted by a 8-0 loss to Barcelona in which Osasuna’s keeper, Andrés Fernández, was perhaps their best player. Despite leading Athletic in points, their trip to San Mamés should be a steep challenge as they take on a side looking to put constant pressure on their defence.
Athletic’s pressure on the ball has been one of a few reasons for their recent success against Real Sociedad and Paris St. Germain in the Europa League a few days before that. They players are beginning to look more comfortable in new manager Marco Bielsa’s system, now consistently pushing forward once they are in possession and then staying high up on the pitch. For his part, Bielsa seems to be willing to tinker with his typically rigid system, bringing one defender back, which has allowed the wings to push even higher up, giving midfielder Iker Muniain, by far Athletic’s most outstanding player this season, support as well as space to create through balls to the (very) forward line. This fluidity in the midfield, and a much more consistent pressure off the ball, have put Athletic’s forwards, Markel Susaeta, Igor Gabilondo and Fernando Llorente in much more favourable positions to score: together they have scored four goals in the past two matches. Llorente however has been struggling with injury this week, and was pulled twice from training on Thursday and Saturday respectively.
