For Chelsea, striker Fernando Torres is suspended after he was sent off in the victory over Swansea.

Frank Lampard could keep his place in the starting line-up after he was recalled for the midweek trip to Valencia and scored in the 1-1 draw.

Striker Daniel Sturridge is fit after he missed Saturday's win over Swansea with a knee injury and also sat out the Valencia draw at Valencia.

Goalkeeping understudy Hilario is still a week or two away from recovering from a hip and back complaint, while Michael Essien (knee) is a long-term absentee.Having done their coaching badges together, in Scotland, Andre Villa-Boas and Owen Coyle have always remained friends. Ahead of the clash, Andre has had this to say about the friendship,

"We`re always exchanging ideas. He put me under a lot of pressure to let him have Daniel Sturridge back on loan this season. There must have been 20 or 30 messages but I told him definitely not."

"I`m sure he`ll try again in January but there is no chance."

"Things are not going for Bolton as Owen would want this season that`s for sure. But he`s a demanding, driven and focussed person and Bolton will come out of this soon."

"Bad phases can happen to anyone in football. But one or two wins and Bolton will soon be moving up the table."

Let`s hope those wins don`t start tomorrow!Andre Villas-Boas takes his squad north without the injured Essien whilst Alex and Torres are both suspended having received red cards. Sturridge, having recovered from injury, is in contention for a starting place, although the consensus of opinion is that with Torres absent, we`d be very surprised if the void wasn`t filled by Drogba.

Whether Andre rotates his squad after the Spanish trip remains to be seen but we don`t reckon it`ll be too far from the following eleven:-
