England Premier League
Match : Norwich v Swansea
Date: Saturday, 15 October, 2011
Kick Off Time: 15:00 BST
Venue: Carrow Road
Live/Repeat: Live
I was at Carrow Road last August commentating for The Football League Show when these two sides met in the Championship; two late goals earned Norwich victory in what, from memory, was one of the best matches that I saw last season. This has the potential to be another fascinating encounter between two teams who like to play attractive football.
They are both well placed in the Premier League table at the moment, with Norwich in ninth and Swansea a place below. The Swans have lost all three of their away matches so far, and they will see this fixture as one where they can really get over a hurdle by picking up their first points on the road in the Premier League. They cruised to a 3-0 win over Norwich at the Liberty back in April. It will be an interesting match for five players in particular. Norwich's Steve Morison and Andrew Crofts will be up against three of their Welsh international team-mates in the Swansea side - Joe Allen, Ashley Williams and Neil Taylor. And it was a good week for Wales, with wins over Switzerland and Bulgaria, while Norwich's Canadian international Simeon Jackson scored a hat-trick in their 7-0 thrashing of St Lucia.
Norwich have scored seven Premier League goals this season, with seven different players getting them, but they have proved susceptible to late goals, conceding four times in the last five minutes.
Ashley Williams and captain Garry Monk are again the only available centre-backs for manager Brendan Rodgers..
