But Lee McCulloch misses out with a calf injury and Steven Naismith is out for the rest of the season.
Dundee United defender Gary Kenneth is fit again after missing last weekend's 4-1 win at Dunfermline with a knock.
Sean Dillon (calf) remains out, while Danny Swanson (knee) and Scott Severin (broken leg) are also still absent.
Rangers manager Ally McCoist: "Of course it gives you a headache [Kyle Bartley's return]. Goian and Bocanegra have been fabulous, really great for us.
Ross Perry has come in and done well when he's been asked and David Weir came in for the Liverpool game and was outstanding.
So we've got real competition for places in the centre-back position.
Kyle can play in one or two positions and you could probably play him anywhere across the back and in the middle of the park as well.
"I'm a firm believer that it's a real bonus having players who can play in one or two positions."
Dundee United manager Peter Houston: "It will be a mammoth task but we look forward to it, rather than fear it," he added.
Rangers are in a rich vein of form. I think the standards they've set this season and at the end of last season are an example to all clubs.
That's the goal of every other club in the SPL - to try and maintain the consistency levels that they've shown.
The only other team to beat them (since United in April) is Falkirk in the cup.
It's always a difficult one going to Ibrox or Parkhead. You either go in there and have a fantastic performance or a poor performance.
I think the boys have taken a lot of confidence, so we'll go there, we'll try and be organised, we'll try and be hard to beat at first."
