Here’s a look at the matches not to miss as fourth round action gets underway in Melbourne.

Kim Clijsters vs. Na Li, third match on Rod Laver Arena

One of the most highly anticipated match-ups once the draw was announced has come to fruition. Clijsters and Li will face each other in a rematch of last year’s Australian Open final. Both women have had their struggles since winning their respective Slams last year.

Clijsters sat out most of the year with various injuries, and still has little match play leading up to the 2012 Australian Open. But Clijsters has played solidly in her first few rounds, and looks to be playing herself into match shape.

Li seemingly couldn’t string two wins together after winning the French Open last year. But Li has started this year out strong, beating World No. 1 Petra Kvitova in Sydney at an Australian Open tune-up.

Last year’s final went the distance, and today’s match could as well.

Bernard Tomic vs. Roger Federer, 7:00pm local, Rod Laver Arena

Aussie Tomic has impressed this year so far, winning two five set matches in his early rounds at the Australian Open over higher-ranked opponents. He beat two top 10 players last year, and is climbing up the rankings rapidly. To some, he conjures up memories of a young Roger Federer with his fearless play and his quiet confidence in his own abilities.

Playing his childhood hero who hasn’t lost a match since the US Open last year, Tomic will have a challenge ahead of him. Federer is as red-hot as he has been in a long time, and despite dropping a set to Tomic in their first meeting last year, should come through comfortably.

Caroline Wozniacki vs. Jelena Jankovic, last match on Rod Laver Arena

One of our top picks is this much-anticipated battle between Slamless number ones. Though Jankovic has not come close to the level of consistency Wozniacki has had recently, she holds a 4-3 advantage in their head-to-head, despite losing all three of their most recent meetings.

Jankovic is no stranger to the scrutiny and pressure Wozniacki faces in holding the number one ranking without having won a Slam, and she will provide the first real test Wozniacki has faced in this tournament. Wozniacki has much on the line, facing the possibility of losing her top ranking to several players who could potentially displace her. She must win this match and do her best to stay in the tournament as long as she can.

Julia Goerges vs. Agnieszka Radwanska, second match on Hisense Arena

Goerges and Radwanska have never played each other on the WTA Tour, so this match-up is a bit of an unknown for both players. Radwanska is out to prove she belongs in the top 10, still seeking her first appearance in a Slam semifinal.

Goerges lost early in Sydney and Auckland to start the year, and she could find it difficult to play the crafty Radwanska who played with poise and great consistency to reach the top 10 last year.
