Albion might only have won once in 16 games away to City since 1980, but recent form trumps ancient history every time - and Hodgson's team has won more points on the road than at The Hawthorns this season.
The first goal of the game both here and in Wigan will be important to the atmosphere of the night. If the Baggies bag first in this one, the Blue Moon might well disappear behind darkening clouds.
