Kaiserslautern vs Augsburg Bundesliga Preview

Match Information:

Kaiserslautern face Augsburg at Fritz-Walter-Stadion on Sunday afternoon,

The Bavarians go in search of their first Bundesliga victory and their Dutch coach sees no reason why it should not come at the Betzenberg.
"Kaiserslautern will want to and really have to win their first home game after losing on the opening day of the season," he said.
"We have tanked up on self-confidence against Freiburg and now want to take something with us from the Betzenberg.
"The atmosphere in the Betzenberg is going to be a challenge for my team, but it could also lift us."
Luhukay is without the injured strikers Nando Raffael and Torsten Oehrl while Gibril Sankoh is suspended, but the former Borussia Monchengladbach coach still insists his side is "well-prepared" for Sunday's first venture into foreign territory in the top flight.
Backed by around 40,000 fans, Kaiserslautern coach Marco Kurz says he wants his side to take the game to their opponents.
The Red Devils' built their survival last season on their excellent home form with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund both beaten at the Betzenberg.
"We have got to be aware of what made us strong last season," said Kurz.
"We have got to be better in terms of aggression and in the tackles than we were in Bremen."
That defeat left Kaiserslautern in the lower reaches of the league table and left Kurz with the realisation that it is going to be a long and hard second season in the top flight.
