Swansea v West Brom English Premier League Preview
Saturday, 17 September 2011
Barclays Premier League
Swansea v West Brom, 15:00 BST
Venue: Liberty Stadium
Although the two 0-0 draws ground out at home to Wigan and Sunderland might prove to be very important at the end of the season, Swansea's lack of goals has overshadowed the attractive style of play Brendan Rodgers has encouraged his team to produce.
The Swans gave a very good account of themselves for the first hour of their opening match at Manchester City before the class of Roberto Mancini's team eventually told, and since then the only goal they've conceded was goalkeeper Michel Vorm's gift to Andrey Arshavin at the Emirates last Saturday.
However, record signing Danny Graham has not so far been able to replicate the scoring form he showed for Watford in the Championship. Graham has had numerous chances so far this season but has not been able to settle the nerves of both himself and the team.
At least West Brom's arrival would suggest that the Liberty Stadium should see its first goal at the highest level. Since Roy Hodgson took over at The Hawthorns in February they've only failed to score once in his 17 matches in charge - a dreary 1-0 home defeat by Stoke just before the international break - but have also only managed to keep two clean sheets
