Synopsis

The critically acclaimed series, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, returns for a second season of glitz, glamor, and high drama. All six original over-the-top housewives are back including: Taylor Armstrong, Camille Grammer, Adrienne Maloof, Kim Richards, Kyle Richards, and Lisa Vanderpump. Though not official "housewives", this season the ladies are joined by two new friends: Brandi Glanville and Dana Wilkey, who certainly know how to spice things up in the world's most famous zip code. The series offers a glimpse inside the world of luxurious wealth and pampered privilege, but as we learned last season -- in Beverly Hills, luxury has its price. Sisters Kim and Kyle are still trying to mend their relationship after last season's blowout fight, but with Kim focused on a new boyfriend, her relationship with her family and the other ladies seems to not to be a priority. Lisa continues to be the voice of reason, but with six opinionated housewives, the witty Brit begins to ruffle some very expensive feathers. Camille is back and focused on starting her new life without husband, Kelsey. She's determined to stay away from the drama, but she's also not one to hold her tongue. Adrienne is forced to make some serious business decisions and when she introduces the ladies to her friend, Brandi, she is also forced to break up a few fights. Last but certainly not least, Taylor and her husband Russell have always put business before pleasure, but it's had a major impact on their relationship. As Taylor struggles with a loveless marriage, she acts out against the other women and falls on the shoulder of her friend Dana for support. While each of the ladies have their share of drama, they also know how to have fun in true Beverly Hills style. 5. Ken’s grumpy again.
Lisa wants their restaurant Sur to expand, but Ken’s not having it. This then leads to that great quote about Lisa being willing to do whatever it takes to convince Ken, even making an exception to her “only on Christmas and birthdays” rule. If this is how Lisa chooses to settle all of their arguments about Sur’s expansion, pretty soon Sur will be bigger than the Mall of America.
4. Portia needs some new hobbies.
Kyle’s daughter Portia has a huge house full of toys, and looking for dog poop is how she likes to spend her time? Still, it reminded us of how cute she is, and how adorable this whole family is. They make doing chores seem more fun than a trip to the Caribbean.
3. Awkward man-date alert!
Just because the ladies can’t live without each other doesn’t mean the same is true of their other halves. When the husbands meet up, Mauricio tries to choke down one of Paul’s cigars (which costs about as much as a semester at college), while Ken rehashes that “therapy is weak” moment. (Let it go, Ken.) And why on earth did Mauricio think Ken would be up for heli-skiing? We don’t even think Ken would be up for video-game skiing.
2. Kim is nowhere to be found.
First, Paul and Adrienne go at it yet again, this time about whether it’s safe for her to attend the Sacramento Kings game. (Basically, Adrienne tells Paul to grow a pair.) Then, Kim is late to the airport, and Paul interprets her slightly nonsensical phone conversation to mean she’s intoxicated. And why does Kim not know that Adrienne is calling? Has Kim not heard of caller ID?
1. Taylor’s troubles
We’re hoping this episode was a wake-up call for Taylor to get the help she needed and to finally move on from her marriage. While under the influence, we see Taylor talking to Kim and Kyle about who was the bigger jerk last season, and then Taylor’s makeup bag is harder to find than Waldo in those kids’ books. Ultimately, the ladies are there for Taylor. And Kyle even applies her lip gloss for her — a beauty-must when you’re having a breakdown at a friend’s mountain home!
